History of Ferrari electronic

Ferrari electronic has been a constant on the technology and ITC markets in Germany for decades. The roots reach back to the early fifties: 

1953
Franz Ferrari founded the company “Statistische Maschinen und Geräte” in Berlin. The main products are mechanical counting devices used in medical technology and transportation.

1989/90
World premiere: Ferrari electronic presents the first intelligent fax card. This development makes it possible to fax directly from any Windows application. The fax card becomes famous under the name "ferrariFAX". 

1994
Ferrari electronic presents the first fax integration in Novell GroupWise.

1995
Ferrari electronic presents the first fax integration into Microsoft Exchange Server and into Lotus Notes/Domino Server.

1997
Ferrari electronic presents the first fax integration into SAP R/3 (SAP R/3 certification takes place on December 10th, 1997) – and plays a dominant role in the SAP market. 

1998
Ferrari electronic GmbH becomes Ferrari electronic AG.

2001
Ferrari electronic presents the first fax-over-IP solution at CeBIT and underlines its technology leadership in the area of unified messaging. 

2002
Ferrari electronic presents the first Linux-based fax and SMS solution. 

2004
German premiere: Ferrari electronic presents the first qualified electronic signature for fax and email in cooperation with secrypt GmbH. 

2005
Ferrari electronic signs strategic partnership agreements with Alcatel (now Alcatel-Lucent), strengthening its commitment to the telecommunications market. 

2008
Ferrari electronic closes a strategic partnership with Cisco Systems.
Recertification of the SAP integration.
Microsoft certifies the Unified Communications media gateways OfficeMaster Gate of Ferrari electronic as "qualified gateways for OCS 2007".

2009
Coincident to the release of Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Ferrari electronic presents its new modular OfficeMaster Gate UC media gateways as well as the integration of the OfficeMaster software in Microsoft SharePoint.
Ferrari electronic presents OfficeMaster Hybrid Gate UC.
Ferrari electronic becomes SAP Software Solution Partner.

2010
OfficeMaster Gate is now certified as fax solution for Microsoft Exchange 2010 and supports inbound faxing without additional software.
Ferrari electronic presents the OfficeMaster Survivable Branch Appliance for Microsoft Lync Server 2010.

2011
Ferrari electronic wins "Innovationspreis-IT" for the federal state Brandenburg at CeBIT 2011. Awarded was the product OfficeMaster Survivable Branch Appliance.
Ferrari electronic receives as first provider of Unified Messaging software and media gateways the „Microsoft Unified Communications Gold Competency“.
