How about ensuring IT security in your enterprise by using unified communications solutions?
"Special fax boards are optimized for processing the T.30 protocol. They handle connection establishment and "negotiation" of the communication parameters. Data conversion and compression are carried out by the card. The fax server is thus considerably relieved. There are fax boards available which offer transfer rates of the fax data with 9,600 and 14,400 bps and compression applications for all three methods. A further advantage of those boards is that they usually only “talk” the T.30 protocol, and so they are not suitable for modem operations or for operating as remote access components. Some fax boards have an additional ISDN interface. The advantage is that the signaling options of ISDN can be used for fax routing. In summary, only ISDN and fax boards should be used in fax servers. The board must be compatible to the application software, because not all cards are supported by all fax server applications". All OfficeMaster solutions support the OfficeMaster Gate as communications components, all of which are completely developed by Ferrari electronic. Unlike conventional modems and ISDN boards, no transmission protocols are implemented other than those for fax, voice, and landline SMS.
During fax communications, the only information transmitted is graphical (scanned documents or graphical representations created on a PC using the printing or conversion functions). This ensures that it is impossible to transmit other data, in particular executable program code, via this equipment due to the implemented protocols (ITU T.30) and encoding method (ITU T.4/T.6).
