Berlin/Teltow, February 20, 2013: The OfficeMaster Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) from Ferrari electronic is the first European solution to be qualified for Microsoft Lync Server 2013. Companies operating the OfficeMaster SBA are assured of failsafe telephony even if network connectivity to the data center is lost. Not only does this bring the unified communications solutions right up to date, it protects customers' investments as well. As of February 2013, just three manufacturers have obtained this certification worldwide.
"Throughout product development we work closely with the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond. Businesses and partners can be confident that our UC solutions not only integrate perfectly, they also work in the most diverse system environments. As of today, this also includes Microsoft Lync Server 2013," says Johann Deutinger, CTO at Ferrari electronic AG.
OfficeMaster SBA supports Lync 2013 to ensure that telephony at branches remains available even if the WAN should fail. Until now, many enterprises have kept IT and telecommunications separate in order for telephony to remain immune to network outages. OfficeMaster SBA switches automatically to ISDN as soon as the IP connection to the data center fails, so that all telephony functions remain available.
Following the qualification of OfficeMaster Gate as an "Enhanced Gateway" for Lync 2013 back in November 2012, this OfficeMater SBA certification is another element of the product campaign being presented by Ferrari electronic at the CeBIT in Hanover, Germany from March 05 to 09, 2013.
