World Premiere on the CCW in Berlin

Next Generation Document Exchange: Live and in Full Color!

Ferrari electronic’s debut at the CCW conference and trade show will feature a world premiere. The Unified Communication entrepreneur is proud to present the Next Generation of Document Exchange, based on the latest ITU standards. Visitors in Hall 2, booth E25 will have the opportunity to experience a live demo, showing the practical benefits of the solution.

The idea of resorting to fax for document exchange may sound anything but modern. However, it has proven to still be a well-established communication channel with companies highly praising its advantages.  This is down to the following reasons: Fax is legally secure, it features an End-to End confirmation and it is not prone to computer viruses. Furthermore, fax is refined on a regular basis. One refinement in particular is the Next Generation of Document Exchange.

Next Generation Document Exchange

This procedure takes full benefit of the latest ITU communication standards. Find the most advantageous features below:

-          PDF files are sent through telephony and VoIP connections using peer-to-peer protocols and providing a subsequent confirmation of delivery. PDF content such as colors, metadata, videos and 3D patterns are included as well.

-          No size restrictions; Relevant for architectural layouts or medical reports.

-          High transmission speed exceeds more than 100 pages per minute

-          Machines can process the file and extract its content

-         Highly automatable due to its integration into business processes

-         Downward compatible to classical fax devices

Hence, a new form has evolved that guarantees an easy, swift and legally secure way of exchanging documents between companies of all sectors and subjects.

Effortless and downward compatible

A reliant communication between classical and modern fax devices is contrived by the use of ITU standards. They also ensure that always the best transmission type is used throughout the job, making the Next Generation Document Exchange procedure downward compatible to analog fax machines. Furthermore, additional hard- or software for addressing fax devices is no prerequisite anymore. The same applies to multi-functioning devices (MFP). Once fax recipients do not support PDF file transfer, the respective document will be rendered as image and sent as common fax.

Industry-wide communication standard

Having a form of communication that is based on simplicity, rapidity and legal security is key for building on a futureproof way of document transfer. Complementing these basics with the deep integration into existent business processes as well as the possibility of machine processing by using well-established standards (such as ZUGFeRD for sending invoices) while retaining a comfortable operability are further steps into achieving this. All these features essentially form the Next Generation Document Exchange.

Stephan Leschke, Chief Executive Officer of Ferrari electronic, comments on the new possibilities: “Having a valid way of exchanging documents for companies proves to be increasingly critical, especially in today’s digital era. Our decision to transform common fax to IP fax has paved the way for the “Next Generation Document Exchange”. Hence, companies can lay their trust in a legally secure document transmission; Now, and in future.”

A Live-Demo will premiere on the CCW

From February 27nd until March 1st 2018, customers have the opportunity to test a live demo unit on booth E25 in Hall 2 of this year’s CCW and essentially convince themselves of the benefits of a future-proof document exchange.
